So, the first handful of images were shot around town. We went and photographed some of the first places the parents lived in and a little joint they frequented when they were dated.
Then it was on to the house for the luau. And yep, I was the only brown person there (except the dancers) :).

Really extraordinary work! You always seem to outdo yourself.
Family, priceless! I feel so warm when I see your story Jon.
hey! me and jenny count as half a brown person! a brownish red whitish person...neopolitan?
great job as always. these are true treasures.
Jonathan - not sure why you make mention of being the only "brown person" there...
I have never thought of you as a "brown person"...just JC, the very good photographer.
I know you say that in jest, but it seems like distinctions of skin color keep coming up, and up, and up all the time in our culture...
Only a true family man could capture meaningful looking moments like these . . . lovely Jonathan.
Are you a unicorn? Because you are made of magic. I love all these beautiful, natural moments you've caught and the one of the baby being held in a hand? Magical unicorns.
