Lehi UT - II

More shots of the town I've called home for the last 5 years +...

PS, any thoughts on the new layout? I wanted bigger images and wanted to pair things up. Leave your comments below as I'd love to hear your feedback.

Lehi is a true all-American town! When I saw the top pics side-by-side I was immediately drawn in by their contrasting, yet similar, themes. Then when I scrolled down I got to see the lovely panorama that brought the pics together. I think the new layout is great--it adds a new element to how you tell stories with your pics.

That tree, that lovely tree. I have always loved that tree... I pray no one ever cuts it down.

love the images, oh those elements of design! as some do work well as a pair. I do wish some were isolated, I think they would be stronger. As they are I think they are a bit congested and has weakened some of the images. happy shooting!

I really like this idea! I want to do this in the summer now in my own town. I like the new layout too with the wider margins and larger pictures. I'm not sure about the floating insignia though. I would maybe move that to the right side because it covers some of the amazing pictures when one scrolls down :)

melinda, are you looking on an ipad? the only reason the floating camera would cut into the images is if you were on a screen smaller than 13 inches...

on my laptop the insignia is also blocking some images. I agree, the larger pictures are WAY better to look at, but I also think putting them one by one was better as it allowed me to concentrate on each picture or just continue to scroll to the next. with them side by side and on top of each other, it's more distracting to my eyes. I think that if you MEAN for pictures to go side by side, do it, but otherwise, let them live large by themselves.

Aha! My screen was zoomed in, that was the problem! Thanks! Looks great!

Ja, your screen, like Melinda's, had to be zoomed as that image stays in the bottom right corner when you scale your browser.

But regardless, I need to figure out a way to keep it floating right below the "follow me on twitter and then have it STAY THERE as you scroll down...

Anyone have any ideas on how to do that? I'm sure poking around on google will find me the answer...

Oops! I commented below, accidentally! I like THIS new layout!:) Anyways, I think now I'll run around my Lehi neighborhood in AZ and snap some pics! Great idea!

I love the new layout.

It's funny, that tree on the first image (left), whenever I drive by it I want to take a photo because it's so big and grand and the only tree in the field... I love that you captured it. :)

Very nice! I will chime in that unless your wanting a diptic (sp?) viewing, I would stick with the one at a time thing.

The new layout looks awesome. I'm not sure if someone mentioned this but the left side bar list doesn't scroll with the images. So I can't read the "Some Fine Folks" or anything presumably below it. Does that make sense? hope that helps.

First thought when I got to your blog...LOVE the new look. It feels really fresh and clean. Bigger versions of your images could never hurt either. :)

Too funny- I saw you take the picture of the tree. I was visiting my sister and we were driving away from Thanksgiving Point when we saw you get out of your van and take that picture. We almost stopped and said hi but then we thought that might seem stalker-ish. Any how love your work and the new layout of your blog.

LOVE the new look of the blog! Very clean and less distractive with the 3 columns. It really puts an emphasis on your photography more so, and I love the diptychs! (always been a fan of that style of presenting images and a story that way!).
Great inspiring work!
p.s. I always anxiously await your next post :D
