Some personal work shot on Oahu, mostly on the North Shore of Oahu. To me, this is heaven on earth. Mark my words, one day I will teach @ BYU-Hawaii in Laie and will live there with my family.

Jonathan, I came across you through Natalie Norton and I've been hooked since. I completely admire your 100% film approach, even though I am solely digital. Tucks the thought into the back of my head to someday try out film as well. I was lucky enough to call Oahu [Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base] home for the majority of 2009. My husband has since finished Active Duty and we're back home in Minnesota. Your photos just transported me back to a place so dear to my heart, and filled me with joy. I don't know if I'll have the chance to call it home again someday, but I won't stop dreaming. God bless you and your family, and I hope you achieve that dream someday. I'll be waiting for photos when you do.
ahhh!! I just attended BYU-H and am wishing to go back but my finace and I are going to BYU-I :( I was soooo sad I missed you when you went last yr to BYU-I for the seminar thingy... And that would be GREAT if you taught there. There isn't much offered for photography program which is a complete bummer. I would go back in an instant if you worked there.
Those pictures are awesome! I love living in the North Shore. If you taught at BYU-H...that would be so awesome...maybe I'd go back to school again and do photography this time around!
I love the north shore, been there twice..it's not enough. i must go back. funny thing - just before i went on a hike back in 2006, i am pretty sure i photographed that same horse in that same spot. is that possible?
You said it.. now it will happen. As I know you know from seeing your life, once you put your intentions into words, watch out!!! Love love your Oahu photographs. You make it look so easy.. did you do that in a day? My oh my.. I cannot wait to learn from in San Diego!!!!!
