We were expecting him to be in the hospital for at least a month from what the doctors told us. However, he was breathing on his own, eating on his own, and besides not having a pulmonary valve and a having a hole in his heart, he is FINE. How does that work really? I have no idea. I really don't. Actually, I do, but I won't discuss it here. He has since gained a couple pounds and does nothing but eat, sleep and OCCASIONALLY cry when he is hungry or has a full diaper. He is our little miracle, Weston Scott Canlas.

OH HOW WONDERFUL!!!! Congratulations! What a little trooper. I, too, had a hole in my heart that had to be under close watch.. I got to go home after a while but still had to have a nurse monitor me at home every day. So, from one little miracle baby to another, welcome darling Weston! This world is a wonderful place and you are lucky to have such wonderful parents to help you through it!
Congratulations. That is just such fantastic news. I can see in his momma's face where the strength comes from.
