Before the Swine epidemic, there were/still are kidnappings galore conducted by the drug cartels all along Nogales. I had no idea what was going on down there and had I know, we would not have gone. I guess our "HECHO EN MEXICO" hats saved us. Or it could have been the plastic baby Jesus I was asked to hold on the plane by my Latin friend who sat next to me. Either way, I'm glad I got home safe.
And yes, that last shot is literally someone being detained 30 ft away from the MX border.
