The Wells Family

I owe a lot of the success I've had in my life to this family. They opened their doors to a punk kid and it literally changed his/my life :).

This was the reason I went back to Hawaii in Nov. Rick, the dad, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I finally got the chance to shoot him and the Wells family.

You can view the whole event and order prints HERE.

That's a nice story, less the cancer. I can remember a similar situation with me back in the day.

Nice work again, Jonathan.

They were an answer to a mother's prayer. Literally, and as hard as it was to send him off to paradise, I knew he would be ok.

I'm so happy you 'finally got the chance' to photograph this family! Rick was my art professor and I worked for him. Shocking to learn he has cancer. I hope and pray the outcome will be positive for he and his family. His artwork is beyond amazing. I often think of his art, his teaching, wish I could express how important it all is, what I learned from him.

My best friend has terminal cancer. Hate that stupid disease. Thank god for faith.
