If you work really hard, and are kind, amazing things will happen.

I don't know how many of you saw the final Conan O'Brien show but he said some things that have really, really resonated with me. For the last couple of months, I've been really, really trying to do what he just said. I truly believe in what he said and it has been a great reminder of some New Years resolutions. With the debacle going on and all he could have said something else, but he didn't. And I think it was a great example to EVERYONE in ANY field.

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday and here's to 2010 and everyone living without cynicism, working hard, and being kind. What a world this would be...

Yes. Yes, it is.

it is a great reminder...to focus on the positive rather than wallowing in the negative. and for me, to keep working hard and being kind, because it will pay off. sometimes that is hard to see when there are fakers and cheaters surrounding you. but, in the long run, this is all that matters. thank you.

We saw that too. It really was the perfect thing to say to everyone watching. Those types of statements only make people better.

Thank you for sharing this. It's so true and such a great mantra to live by. After I read your blog this morning, I thought about all the people in my past, famous or friends or family and the ones I love the most, admire the most, have these traits and qualities. Good words to live by.

On another side note, Mr. Canlas, you are such an inspiration to me and my work as I trudge along in this cynical job we have. Your work is pure. It's simple. It's clean. Yet it so so resonates with my soul. It's beautiful and timeless. I love it so.

that's awesome! Being cynical doesn't get anyone anywhere good. And it passes on to others around you too. Wish people would take this advice & be for uplifting & kind. Great words to share.

thank you for posting this, I don't have TV and 99% of the time I don't miss anything good, but this was clearly not to be missed. a message we all need to hear and take home.

I have been enjoying your blog lately and you have me seriously considered borrowing an old camera of my grandfathers, loading it up with film, and going for it.
