Virginia & Michael - 8.23.2008 - Malibu CA

I love Filipino weddings. Hands down they are just so FUN/PUN - f=p. It is like going to a family reunion even if we are not "pamily". It was uncanny how much Michael looked like one of my cousins...

A wonderful wedding inside their family church and a ROCKIN reception at the Adamson House in Malibu which has now made into the top five of coolest venues I've ever shot at.

Thanks so much Virginia & Michael for having me out. And much thanks to Brion Hopkins for giving me a hand.

You can view the whole event and order prints HERE.

I'm chucking at your Filipino-speak. You don't know how many times I've heard my mom make fun of my dad; ("I need to fark da car!")

That wedding party looked like they had taken modeling classes pre-wedding. All very cool shots of them. The bride on the diving board though...amazing shot!

So, when we were looking for a photographer for this wedding we kept looking at your site wishing we could get someone like you to take our pictures. But, we were all the way in Los Angeles and you were in Utah. It didn't look like it was practical to hire you. Everyone kept telling us just to go with someone local. But you only have one wedding and I for one did not want the same corny wedding pictures in our album. WOW Jonathan! You, Leo and Brion totally captured our wedding - fun and personal, quirky and cultural. You made us look gooooooooood. Our dream photographer took our dream wedding photos. From now on you guys will always be a part of our wedding memory and what a great memory.

oh and one thing...It was was Filipino/Vietnamese wedding. =) Together as one.

love,
Michael and Virginia
