Paris France - Get ready...

So I developed all the film on Wednesday (all 66 rolls of it) from the Cambodian Tea Ceremony I shot out in Paris last weekend (8.9.08). I could not help myself and I wanted the personal work scanned and in my hands NOW!!!. 90% of the personal work I shot in Paris is scanned and in my hands. So, over the next week or 2 I will be slowly but surely posting some personal work I shot there on my Nikon F5, Yashica Mat 124-G and of course my trusty Holga.

This first shot is at Charles De Gaul Airport where I spent the first 7 hours of my time in Paris. My flight landed at 6am but my luggage did not. I waited around for 2 more flights from JFK to arrive to see if my luggage made it on there. No dice. I also was waiting for my brother to arrive from Houston. Well, after the 2 failed flights, I decided to kill some time by walking around the airport and shooting with the Yashica.

The airport is NUTS. Along with the security. There were soldiers walking in 3's everywhere with automatic weapons around their shoulders and their fingers ALWAYS on the trigger. At one point, I was waiting at 2A terminal for my brother and then all of the sudden people are screaming and soldiers telling me to back up. Uh, ok. Come to find out they blocked off the whole terminal. WHY? Well they had to BLOW UP a piece of luggage that was abandoned. Right then and there I made sure my camera bag was never in a situation to be considered "abandoned". They literally BLEW up the piece of luggage. Crazy French security.

More stories to come with future posts. And let me tell you, there are stories...

That was probably poor George Sanderson's luggage. That monster just can't catch a break.
