Elise & Drew's Engagements

Want to know a secret about these images? These are the first C-41 (color negative) images I've developed MYSELF. Yes, that is right, MYSELF. No lab to develope the film. I picked up one of our own and it is out of this world. I love film.

Drew gave me his spot in front of the stage at MMJ a few years back and got me into the seated area for the Dead. Small world.

developing your own negatives?! now, that's hard work. I was never that good at the developing part, but yours are spot on!

love the backlight on the first shot.

rachel, we are not developing them by hand mind you, we load the film and put it in a machine. our negs are night and day compared to the developed negs we were getting from our lab. our chemistry is SPOT on. SPOT ON.

Nice man. What magazine are these for again?

stacie, definitely not a machine anyone has laid eyes on. we got this machine about a month ago and literally got it up and running last week. i think 2 other people outside of leo and i have seen it and one of those people is leo's wife.

you'd never guess where these were.

west provo on center street under the highway where various unmentionable things happen.

no joke.

a machine...well that does make me feel better. I had visions of you shooting all day and staying up all night elbow deep in fixer! I want to see it! maybe I would shoot film more if i had more post control.

good for you! that's exciting. let me know when you open "canlas lab" for the public. :)

The film quality makes them look like magazine tears. Lovely & inspiring. I might have to go back to film again. I miss my days in the B&W darkroom....

Great work!
