Everyone in my house has a thermos under one arm and a mate in the other. I am the only one that can't stomach the taste. Even my 18-month-old nephew loves to drink mate.
My favorite has always been watching people driving motos with a mate in one hand and the thermos under the other arm. I know it is probably rude to make requests on other people's blogs but I would love to see a picture of Mariana and her family :) I'm glad you had such a great time. Did you make it to Colonia? They drink this in southern Brasil too. Not my type of thing, but my hubby (and family) LOVE it. Go figure. Cool image nonetheless.
